📋 Ad Posting Guidelines

These guidelines explain how to post a good, honest ad on PakBirds — one that reaches serious buyers and keeps the marketplace safe for everyone. Following them gives your ad the best chance of approval and helps protect both you and the people you deal with.

1. Write an honest, complete ad

• Use a clear title with the breed and what you're selling (e.g. "Mianwali Aseel Pair — 8 months").
• State the real age, breed, gender, and quantity. Don't exaggerate bloodline or health claims.
• Set a genuine price. If it varies, say so in the description.
• Pick the correct category and city so the right buyers find you.
• Mention any defects, illness, or special conditions honestly — it builds trust and avoids disputes later.

2. Use real photos of the actual bird

• Upload clear, recent photos of the exact bird(s) you are selling.
• Do not use photos downloaded from Google, other ads, or another seller — this is misleading and will get your ad removed.
• Avoid heavy filters or edits that hide the bird's true condition.

3. What you may NOT post

• Protected or wild-caught species that are restricted under Pakistan's provincial wildlife laws (birds of prey, owls, wild-caught parakeets, native partridge/quail, and others).
• Anything you don't legally own or aren't licensed to sell.
• Fake, duplicate, or misleading listings, or the same bird posted many times.
• Non-bird items, spam, or ads that hide their real purpose.
• Contact details, links, or prices placed inside photos to dodge our systems.

4. Verify your phone number

Your phone number must be verified before it is shown to buyers. This keeps the marketplace accountable and helps buyers reach a real, contactable seller. Never share your bank OTP, PIN, or password with anyone — no genuine buyer or PakBirds staff will ever ask for them.

5. Protect yourself and buyers from fraud

• Prefer to deal in person: let the buyer inspect the bird and pay hand-to-hand.
• Be cautious of buyers who "overpay" and ask for a refund, or who push you to move the deal to an unrelated app or pay a "courier fee" upfront — these are common scams.
• For distant buyers, confirm payment has actually cleared in your account before shipping. A screenshot is not proof of payment.
• Keep a record of your conversation and any receipts.

6. Respect other members — zero tolerance for abuse

Treat every buyer and seller with respect. The following will not be tolerated on PakBirds:

• Abusive, threatening, hateful, or vulgar language in messages, ads, or reviews.
• Harassment, spam, or repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
• Fraud, scams, fake payments, or any attempt to cheat another member.

If a member is reported for abusive behaviour, fraud, or a scam, we may suspend their account immediately while we review it. A suspended user who does not apologise or resolve the issue — or who is involved in serious or repeated misuse — will be permanently blocked. Permanently blocked users may not create a new account using the same email address or phone number.

7. Review, removal & account action

Every ad is reviewed by our team before it goes live. We may reject, remove, or hold any ad, and suspend or permanently block accounts, for false information, misleading photos, prohibited species, spam, abuse, scam attempts, or any breach of these guidelines or our Terms of Service — at our sole discretion and without notice. This helps keep PakBirds trustworthy, but the responsibility for what you post, and for any deal you make, remains entirely yours.

8. Our role & your responsibility

To be completely clear: PakBirds provides the listing platform only. We do not verify the truth of any ad, the health of any bird, or the honesty of any user, and we accept no liability for any loss, damage, fraud, or dispute arising from ads or transactions. Approval of an ad is not an endorsement. Always use your own judgement, verify independently, and deal at your own risk.
